Cows & Bulls for sale in the Netherlands
Cattle are heavy social ruminants with breed- and sex-dependent behaviour. Cows, steers and bulls need herd contact, much space, registered housing and safe handling facilities. Adult bulls are never ordinary hobby pets.

Cattle: behaviour and suitability
Cattle recognise herd members, maintain hierarchy and synchronise grazing and resting. Isolation and unpredictable pressure increase fear. Calm consistent handling routes improve safety. Always assess the actual animal and, when a trade label covers several species, verify the scientific name before acquisition. Age, sex, health and previous housing can noticeably influence behaviour.
Care and housing
Provide constant forage, water, minerals, dry comfortable lying space, shade and ground and manure management. Foot care, parasite planning and a safe crush are not optional extras. Set up the complete enclosure before the animal arrives and record relevant values and daily behaviour. A sudden change in appetite, activity, breathing, posture or droppings calls for a check of the environment and, where needed, knowledgeable help.
Health and responsible acquisition
Check identification, registration, herd-health status, age, pregnancy and feet. Assess bulls only with professional expertise. Hand rearing does not make an adult animal safe. Ask the seller about age, origin, current care and known health problems, and ensure any documents belong to the animal offered. Never choose on colour, size or price alone, and identify a knowledgeable veterinarian or other species expert before urgent problems arise.
